Police make arrest after Greggs bakery worker stabbed twice

direct to your inboxPolice have made an arrest after a Greggs employee was stabbed twice during a series of armed robberies across Greater Manchester.

The female employee was taken to hospital with knife wounds to her thigh and hip after the terrifying attack on Queen's Walk in Droylsden on Thursday, 3 December.

She has since been discharged. Officers have now arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of robbery. He remains in custody to be quizzed by detectives.

The arrest is in connection with seven robberies that took places across Tameside and Manchester between Thursday 5 November and Wednesday 16 December.
