PEEP Show’s Robert Webb was just two days from death when docs discovered a heart murmur. The comic said it was “touch and go” if he’d survive.

He had surgery in November after failing a medical before filming a new series of Channel 4 sitcom Back, with pal David Mitchell.

Robert said: “I just assumed that’s the booze. “I thought this is what you feel like when you’re 47 and you treat your body like a skip. “I’d get tired very quickly.

I didn’t realise how unwell I was.” Doctors diagnosed a mitral valve prolapse and said he needed an op. Medics tried to defer it when he went into hospital.
