direct to your inboxA woman is in hospital with a fractured skull following a crash in Stockport. The 55-year-old woman was a pedestrian on Bramhall Lane South where she was hit by a car on Monday afternoon (December 21).

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where she remains in a serious but stable condition, police say.Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a black Nissan Micra at around 4.25pm.The driver of the Nissan is assisting police with their enquiries.

No arrests have been made.Investigators are appealing to the public for any eyewitnesses or anyone with dash cam footage who was in the area yesterday afternoon to come forward.Police Constable.
