When Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B released "WAP" in late summer, the collaboration instantly became a pop culture phenomenon.

The song debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and featured a star-studded music video. Soon after, dance challenges flooded TikTok feeds everywhere, and sorry was the city block that didn't have this song blasting outside of a nearby window or a passing car.So widespread was the "WAP" effect that the conservative critics who decried its sexually explicit prose were nearly drowned out.
