Manchester United have moved ahead of Manchester City in the race to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly - according to reports.
The Senegal international is expected to leave the club in the summer transfer window with various outlets in Italy reporting the defender has made his wish clear to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Napoli are set to allow their star defender to leave if they receive a suitable offer and reports suggest both United and City are interested in securing his signature.
La Repubblica claim the Reds have overtook the Blues in the race to sign the defender and are willing to pay around €80m for the 29-year-old.
