Love Island's Ikenna didn't apply but was 'scouted' by producers in Shoreditch

Ikenna Ekwonna is one of the singles starring on this year's Love Island, and he went into detail about the process of him applying for Love Island, to which he revealed he was "approached" for an audition. "I didn’t sign up.

I was approached," the 23 year old pharmaceutical salesman from Nottingham said, as he spoke to OK! ahead of entering the famous villa in Mallorca. "It was quite funny actually as it was the first time I was in London for like six months, it was one of my friend's birthdays." He continued: "We were in Boxpark Shoreditch and I was approached by one of the casting team." Ikenna was then asked how he feels about the prospect of his parents watching him on TV back home. He revealed: "They’ll watch every episode, they’re very supportive of me, but I don’t think I’ll partake in sexual activities on TV. "I want to make sure I find the right girl and be with the right one." Ikenna then admitted he has only been in one relationship before, as he spoke about how their break-up was when they decided to cut ties. "We’re still on good terms now, it was quite amicable," he shared.

Ikenna said he hasn't watched any of the previous series back to back, but when he watched the odd episode, there are a couple of previous islanders who caught his eye.
