Kilwinning teen living with brain tumours aiming to find cure with awareness

A Kilwinning teenager living with multiple brain tumours is raising awareness for research in to the devastating disease in the hopes of finding a cure.Kieran Crighton was diagnosed with five brain tumours in 2018, aged 12.

He underwent surgery to remove one of the aggressive tumours, as well as radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment.Now, Kieran and his family will be the stars of Brain Tumour Research’s Wear A Hat Day campaign for 2020 which launched in time for Brain Tumour Awareness Month in March.Taking part in the campaign are Kieran’s mother Senga Crighton, his grandmother Lilian Crighton, aunt Wendy Crighton and cousin Lucas Crighton, 14, all from Kilwinning.
