ok.co.ukKate Garraway has shared her horror at being told that she could "get out" of marriage to Derek Draper. Derek, 53, was admitted to hospital in March 2020 after showing symptoms of coronavirus.
He was put into an induced coma to help his recovery and woke up for the first time in October last year to tell doctors he was in pain.The deadly bug "attacked everything", leaving him with kidney failure, damage to his liver and pancreas, as well as heart failure after beating the virus.
Now, speaking in her ITV documentary Finding Derek, which airs on ITV at 9pm tonight, Kate recounted how she was encouraged to leave her husband as his health battle is "not what she signed up for".
