For many actors, having a chance to present an award at the Oscars would be a dream come true, however, the late Heath Ledger had a different idea.

Heath starred in the critically acclaimed movie, Brokeback Mountain, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal which followed the story of two cowboys in a homosexual relationship in Western America from 1963 to 1983.

The film itself bagged three Oscars, and both Jake and Heath were nominated for awards, but when it came to presenting the following year Heath stood firm to make a good point.

Jake Gyllenhaal revealed that in 2007, the year after their nominations, the pair were invited back to present but Heath refused because he didn’t want to make a joke about the movie.
