Love Island has sparked hundreds more complaints in its final week, it has been revealed. The ITV2 dating show came to an end on Monday night (August 1) with host Laura Whitmore heading into the Mallorcan villa to reveal the winners of the 2022 series.
Finalists Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti, Gemma Owen and Luca Bish, Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, and Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page all faced the public vote after eight weeks of love, arguments and head-turning in the Spanish sunshine.
But it was Turkish actress Ekin-Su, 27, and Italian business owner Davide, also 27, won over viewers with their fiery but passionate relationship that spanned most of the series and were crowned winners, sharing the £50,000 cash prize. The broadcasting watchdog confirmed to the Mirror that the 286 complaints they received on July 26 was in relation to Luca Bish's behaviour towards Gemma Owen.
