Interpol frontman Paul Banks has spoken out over how people’s fears are being exploited for “political gain”.In a new interview with NME, the band opened about their new album ‘The Other Side Of Make Believe’ and how it was one of their darkest records.“What I’m interested in exploring is not so much ‘what is the meaning’ as ‘what is meaning, and how is it formed?’ I think meaning doesn’t exist: it’s just the by-product of the language we use to describe,” Banks said when talking about the record.He continued: “What’s really unsettling is the way people have started seeing this as an area for exploitation.
