MCFLY star Tom Fletcher made a cheeky dig at his wife Giovanna being cranky when she's hungry ahead of her I'm A Celebrity stint.

The campmates are famously made to suffer a rice and beans diet on the hit ITV show - and Tom thinks that could be a problem for his other half.

Speaking on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch ahead of tonight's series launch, Tom, 34, said: "She is pretty tough. "But she's a bit cranky when she's hungry." He added: "I think she'll make an amazing campmate. "She's not afraid to get stuck in. "She loves that show so much and she'll be amazing I'm sure." Yesterday Tom posted a sweet snap of Giovanna squeezing her sons tightly in a touching moment before leaving for Gwrych Castle.
