Liam James Payne (born 29 August 1993) is an English singer and songwriter.
He rose to fame as a member of the boy band One Direction.
Payne made his debut as a singer when he auditioned for the British television series The X Factor in 2008. After being eliminated as a solo performer, he auditioned again in 2010 and was put into a group with four other contestants to form One Direction

Aged 24 and looking to move away from Eerste Divisie side Veendam in 1997, City were an easy sell for Wiekens. The Blues had been unable to win promotion back to the Premier League at their first attempt but it felt like a big club and they told the potential signing about the clear ambition to make it back as soon as possible.
Not getting promotion did not tell the full story of a previous year, however, in which the club had gone through three permanent managers and two caretakers.
