Scarlett‘s lawsuit claims that she lost money after the studio released the film on Disney+ for a fee and she wants to be compensated. Emma Stone faced a similar situation with Disney in how they released Cruella.

However, Emma reportedly used Scarlett‘s lawsuit to negotiate her new deal with Disney regarding Cruella 2, which was just announced.

According to insider Matthew Belloni in his What I’m Hearing newsletter, Emma made Disney “acknowledge for the first time that it should have negotiated a ‘buyout’ of her box office bonuses on the first Cruella, like Warner Bros.
