Gun-tooting Looney Tunes character Elmer Fudd will have his firearm banned.According to Peter Browngardt, who is executive producer of a new series of shorts recently released on HBO Max, the animated franchise will no longer be “doing guns” in response to gun violence in the United States.Instead of a firearm, Fudd will be equipped with a scythe as animators adopt more “creative” ways for the hapless character to catch up to his main antagonist, Bugs Bunny.In one short viewed by the publication, Dynamite Dance, Elmer Fudd wields a scythe, an attack stopped by the hare who jams a stick of lit dynamite into Elmer’s mouth.Story editor Jonny Ryan told the New York Times: “We’re going through this wave of ‘anti-bullying, everybody needs to be
