LINDA Carter is set to face another bump in her road to recovery next week in EastEnders when she bumps into her former nemesis Shelley.

The landlady was at the centre of a dark storyline tackling alcohol addiction but was recently hit with a massive wake up call.

EastEnders fans will remember that Linda’s world seemed to come crashing down when her son Ollie was officially diagnosed with autism.

Other stresses including a cancer scare and rape ordeal saw Linda slide deeper into alcoholism. Linda’s drinking was quick to escalate and viewers were horrified when she woke up in hospital on Christmas Day after passing out in the freezing cold.
