DWP issues update on face-to-face assessments for PIP and other health benefits

enhanced lockdown measures in an effort to stop the spread of the new strain of the coronavirus. Covid has put considerable strain on the UK welfare system causing an increase in demand for services and support.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP has now confirmed that the following updated jobcentre guidance will apply to customers across the UK "until further notice", and will ensure essential support is provided while keeping staff and service users safe from the new, highly contagious strain of the virus.

Jobcentres will remain open, as they have done throughout the pandemic, to provide essential services to those who cannot be helped remotely or by phone, however there will be some changes which we have outlined below.
