A Scots farmer has been convicted after two of 11 donkeys in his care were had to be put down due to their severe condition.
Albert Sauer was given a 10-year ban on owning donkeys or horses and also fined £300 on Thursday October 14, 2021. It came after the 86-year-old plead guilty to causing unnecessary suffering to eight donkeys, also at Campeltown Sheriff Court, in September 2020.
The farmer, of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, was charged under Section 19 of the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006.
