Ronaldo shocked the world by returning to Old Trafford for a second spell with the club on Transfer Deadline Day, signing a two-year contract with the option of a third, 12 years after initially leaving for Real Madrid in a then-world record £80m deal.
The Portuguese striker scored 118 goals in 292 games for United during his first spell at the club, where he won three Premier League titles, two League Cups, the Champions League and a Ballon d'Or in six years.
