College campuses set to join vaccine effort as local programme ramps up

Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.The region’s vaccination response is set to step up a gear as two major college campus sites come on board to help with the effort next week.Forth Valley College’s campuses in Alloa and Stirling will receive their first patients on Monday and Tuesday respectively, which will have longer opening hours and the potential to vaccinate around 1,000 patients per day.The new sites follow on from the college campus at Falkirk being the first of the trio to throw open its doors to patients earlier this week, with the focus on providing vaccinations for those aged 70 to 79.The jags are also being delivered at smaller community settings in the region, as well.
