Britney Spears’ dad Jamie Spears has insisted her conservatorship is in his singer daughter’s “best interest”. Jamie Spears, 68, has been Hit Me Baby One More Time singer Britney’s conservator since 2008, meaning he approves her major financial and life decisions.

Singer Britney, 39, was the recent subject of a documentary Framing Britney which looked into her fame, battle with mental health issues and her consequent conservatorship.

It also looks into the #FreeBritney movement and how the protestors feel they are supporting Britney’s fight to get her father removed as her conservator.
