Britney Spears has appeared to announce her pregnancy in a new post. Taking to her Instagram account on Monday, the 40 year old explained that her fiancé Sam Asghari, 28, who she regularly refers to her "husband" on social media, told her to get a pregnancy test after she noticed a change in her weight. "I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip only to gain it back.

I thought “Geez … what happened to my stomach ???," she began. Britney continued: "My husband said “No you’re food pregnant silly!!!” So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby … 4 days later I got a little more food pregnant." Discussing the possibility of twins, Britney added in the lengthy post: "It’s growing !!!

If 2 are in there … I might just loose it." Britney went on to explain that she would not be going out as much now as she didn't want paparazzi taking pictures of her.

Britney, who is already mum to Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with her ex Kevin Federline, reflected on the challenges she faced during her previous pregnancies. "It’s hard because when I was pregnant I had perinatal depression … I have to say it is absolutely horrible … women didn’t talk about it back then … "Some people considered it dangerous if a woman complained like that with a baby inside her … but now women talk about it everyday … thank Jesus we don’t have to keep that pain a reserved proper secret …" Britney concluded the post by saying she would be taking on her third pregnancy in a different manner. "This time I will be doing yoga every day !!!
