Downing Street has warned that there must be no easing up of coronavirus restrictions over the Easter weekend as officials said that Boris Johnson’s condition is “improving’ in intensive care.
In a 1pm update on the Prime Minister’s health his spokesman said: “The PM had a good night and continues to improve in intensive care.
He is in good spirits.”The official added that the PM continues to receive “standard oxygen treatment”. The Prime Minister’s official spokesman did not contradict a warning by Nicola Sturgeon that there was no possibility of any relaxation of the restrictions at that point. “What we absolutely need to do now is keep bearing down on the rate of transmission which will mean continuing with social distancing measures
