He was so determined to hone his skills that he rented an apartment in the same block as Vanessa near the Slough Ice Arena — despite his main Bucks home being just a 40-minute drive away.
His dedication paid off earlier this month when their first outing on the ice saw them top the leaderboard, with the panel commenting on their chemistry.
Judge Oti Mabuse told them: “You were explosive, you were passionate, the two of you had chemistry — it was just the two of you in the room.” But sources close to Zoe, 37 — who told pals on Instagram in November she was feeling “anxious and emotional” — told how she has struggled during their time apart.
