The prime minister on Monday evening announced new stringent measures to limit activity in the UK, and although it wasn’t specifically labelled, it’s fair to say the region is now under a ‘lockdown’.
It comes as authorities in Wuhan, the city in China at the heart of where the coronavirus outbreak first began, have made the decision to soon open up again after imposing a strict lockdown on the area.
They have seen a significant decrease in new infections in the province of Hubei where the city is located, with only a single reported new case in Wuhan over the past five days.
Meanwhile in the UK as the death toll has reached 335, government guidance from Tuesday, March 24, says people should only leave their homes for four reasons.
