"We thought we might get evacuated": Police descend on Salford street to find 'grenade'

Emergency services rushed out to Worsley Trading Estate, in Little Hulton, after police received a call about a grenade at 9.20am today (Monday).

Officers cordoned off the industrial estate, in Lester Road, off the A6 Manchester Road West. READ MORE: Third teenager appears in court accused of murder of Salford man Leigh Smith Paramedics and fire crews were also sent out to the scene, while the bomb disposal unit was put on alert.
