NHS worker was given a ticket for being 'parked in a car park' despite displaying a pass that entitled him to free parking. Si Gracey works in IT and was delivering computers to Bury Older People’s Memory Assessment Service at the Ribchester Centre, in Parsons Lane, Bury, last Tuesday (December 8).
Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust issued Mr Gracey, of Whitefield, with a pass entitling him to "free parking in all council-owned car parks and permitted on-street spaces".
After returning to his car in Parsons Lane, Mr Gracey was dumbfounded to see that he had been issued with a parking charge notice (PCN).
He said: "I was working in Bury doing some IT to prepare for the Covid vaccines. "I parked up and had my pass in the window.
