Black Matter Games has launched its major Hell Let Loose update entitled Falling Dark, which adds a collection of new content and quality-of-life improvements.Update 12 has introduced the game’s previously announced new map “Remagen” and also includes new weapons and vehicles, such as the Panther and M4A3 Sherman. Players can also now get their hands on Flare Guns.The developer hasn’t just added extra items and content with Falling Dark, it’s also addressed the way primary weapons are shown on players.

Team17 CEO Michael Pattison has told employees that “action has to be taken” following an in-depth and damning report about conditions at the companyLast week, more than a dozen past and present Team17 employees spoke to Eurogamer following the backlash over a proposed Worms NFT project.As well as describing poor working conditions (long hours, bad pay) staff described their lack of faith in the company’s HR team, saying that it failed to act when alerted to issues surrounding sexual harassment.Women were reportedly sent degrading messages and suggestive photos by male colleagues. After they were reported to HR, the incidents were minimised, perpetrators were given a slap on the wrist, and victims were told to sort it out amongst themselves.One woman said staff are now afraid to go to HR, as they felt they would be “gaslit”.So it turns out Team17 is run by someone worth hundreds of millions of dollars while some of their staff can’t afford three meals a day.

Team17 would be cancelling its Worms NFT project shortly after it was announced last month, several employees have come forward to share their disappointment with the company’s push into the NFT space, along with other concerns.According to the original report from Eurogamer, several anonymous staff members have stated that during the original announcement of the NFT project, the company refused to listen to concerns, which has ultimately put additional pressure on the team.Some staff members came forward to object to the NFT project – which was said to be in the works since last year – saying that they were against the idea of non-fungible tokens. After the cancellation, Team17 staff were informed via a meeting that reportedly felt like a “political apology”.“If it was the people in the office who swayed them – if it had been the employees – they wouldn’t have done it,” one staff member who attended the meeting said.

Team17 has announced that Hell Let Loose is getting a free-to-play weekend for all PS5 players.The World War 2 first-person shooter is set to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year however PlayStation players will be able to play the game for free this upcoming weekend.Starting on August 26 and running to August 31, PS5 users will be able to get their first taste of Hell Let Loose with the first closed beta for the game.For those interested in checking out the close beta this weekend, you can head over to the official Hell Let Loose website to sign up.Hell Let Loose launched on PC via Steam on July 27 after being in Early Access for two years.
