A new street food market has been given permission to open next to Bridgewater Hall - despite nearby residents raising noise, litter and public nuisance concerns.Society, a £1 million venture between PopCity and Vocation Brewery, promises a ‘high quality and diverse’ offer of food and drink in Manchester city centre.The bar and restaurant in Barbirolli Square will also provide a platform for small independent businesses, with several already signed up to trade from the premises.Plans submitted alongside a licensing application to Manchester council give a first look at what the former Barbirolli and Pitcher and Piano unit will look like.The main food hall will have several stalls, the Vocation bar and seating, while a colourful lounge area
