Download Festival has added 12 new names to its line-up and has announced its 2023 stage splits.Cancer Bats, Casey, Hundred Reasons, State Champs, Static Dress, Puscifer, Punk Rock Factory, Haken, Snayx, Redhook, Rituals and Cherry Bombs have been announced as the new bands to take the stage at this year’s festival.Download had previously announced the 2023 event would be headlined by Slipknot, Bring Me The Horizon and Metallica playing two completely different sets on two different nights.The likes of Ghost, Evanescence, The Distillers, Placebo and Architects were also confirmed to be appearing at Donington Park alongside 50 other acts.A post shared by Download Festival (@downloadfest)In addition, Download have also shared the stage splits. Brighton’s Washed Out Fest postponed to 2023 over COVID-19 concerns
COVID-19 concerns and the UK cost of living crisis.Washed Out Fest was set to feature Dinosaur Pile-Up, Cancer Bats, Babii, Bo Ningen and more. The festival was to take place across three venues in Brighton over three days from September 2 through 4.In a statement posted on the organisers’ website, they wrote that while they were disappointed two planned editions of the festival so far have been affected by the pandemic, “this one, by far, hurts the most”.

Cancer Bats have spoken to NME about their love for IDLES – as well how mindfulness shaped their “heavy as fuck” new album ‘Psychic Jailbreak’, and the return of their Black Sabbath-inspired side project Bat Sabbath.Formed in Toronto in 2004 by vocalist Liam Cormier and guitarist Scott Middleton, the hardcore band were soon rounded out by drummer Mike Peters and drummer Jaye R. Schwarzer.

Cancer Bats have announced ‘Psychic Jailbreak’, their seventh studio album and their first since the departure of founding guitarist Scott Middleton last October.‘Psychic Jailbreak’ is set to be released this April 15 by Bat Skull Records and New Damage Records, and features 11 tracks written by the three remaining founding members of the group.
