Police were called to a report of criminal damage on Lea Mount Drive just before 8pm this evening (Thursday). A car had been damaged on the street, police said.
Officers found a suspicious item at the scene. It has been recovered and will undergo forensic analysis. Pictures taken this evening show a police cordon in place on Lea Mount Drive.
A number of police vehicles are stationed at the scene and forensic officers are carrying out investigation work. Enquiries are ongoing and police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
