Prince William has hit out at the BBC over the 1995 Martin Bashir Panorama scandal and said he has “indescribable sadness” at the airing of the interview which plagued Diana 's "fear, paranoia and isolation”.
William, who will one day be king, said he believed the disgraced reporter’s web of deceit “substantially influenced” what his mother, Princess Diana said during the interview and “was a major contribution to making my parents’ relationship worse”, writes The Mirror.
In a new statement made by Prince William, he called for the BBC's flagship investigative programme to never air again. The Duke of Cambridge went further to suggest Panorama “holds no legitimacy and should never be aired again” adding: “It effectively established a false.
