Coronation Street and Emmerdale to get special spin off shows
weddings and villains to scandals and famous faces.The other special will be a four-part series called Icons and will be narrated by Sally Lindsay.The four icons chosen are Ken Barlow, Sally Metcalfe, Liz McDonald and Roy Cropper and each of the actors will be retelling stories to accompany the archived footage.Emmerdale, on the other hand, will be focusing on the prominent families in the ‘Dales called Family Trees.The Sugdens, The Tates and the Dingles, young and old will feature with the episodes being narrated by former castmember Gaynor Faye.Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s head of entertainment said to Digital Spy: ‘Not only will new episodes of the soaps continue in the schedules, we now have these new specials to join them and entertain
