Joe Otterson TV ReporterFX has greenlit the half-hour comedy series “The Bear,” Variety has learned.The series stars “Shameless” alum Jeremy Allen White as a chef who returns to Chicago to run his family’s restaurant. Along with White, the series also stars Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliott, and Liza Colón-Zayas, with Edwin Gibson and Matty Matheson in recurring roles.

FX’s comedy pilot  from FX Productions received a full series order set to premiere in 2022. Shameless star Jeremy Allen White was previously announced as the lead of the half-hour comedy about a young chef who returns to Chicago to run the family restaurant.

Christopher Storer is the writer and director of the pilot.

The alum announced on Instagram that she and her husband, Billy Kennedy, are expecting their first child.Elliott shared a selfie of her and Kennedy in celebration of their four-year anniversary, as well as a pic of her growing baby bump. «Happy 4 Years my love!
