Police have launched a manhunt for thugs who attacked motorists before trying to steal their cars. Officers were called to two incidents in Dundee, which they believe are linked, on Sunday December 3.

The first was to reports of a man assaulted by two teens while getting out of his car in the Asda car park in Derwent Avenue at around 8pm.One of the thugs then tried to get in his car which he had just locked.

The man was not injured.In the other attack, about 40 minutes later, two teens grabbed a woman who had just got out of her car in Ulverston Terrace as one of them attempted to take her car keys from out of her hand.A passing dogwalker stepped in to help and the teenagers ran off.A police probe using CCTV and witness statements has.
