Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (born Rachel Meghan Markle; August 4, 1981) is an American member of the British royal family and former actress.

Police were called to reports of a serious sexual assault at a home in Little Hulton on the evening of Friday, March 19. During the assault, the victim - a woman in her 60s - suffered severe wounds to her face and had to be taken to hospital.
She has since been discharged after treatment. A 34-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of rape. He is currently in custody while police continue their investigation.
