Love Island's Jacques O'Neill has shared an important message to "be kind" as the hit ITV2 show enters its final week. The islander left the show in a dramatic fashion after clashing with then-partner Paige Thorne when her head was turned by newcomer Adam Collard.

With the show set to end on Monday 1 August, Jacques asked people to be kind to the islanders - saying that "you can start fresh" on Monday "no matter how bad last week was for you".

He posted a photo of himself sat on a picnic bench and smiling on Instagram, with his important message as the caption. Jacques wrote: "Monday is the best day of the week because no matter how bad last week was for you, it means you can start fresh and have a better week than you did the previous.

Set little goals and try your best to achieve them! "Also, please can we all remember to be KIND this last week – Don’t forget the islanders have to come out of that villa and face it all so let’s try be as positive as we can for them getting out!" Fans were quick to agree with Jacques and show their love, with one person writing: "You're so precious, you genuinely seem the biggest heart ever please stay happy you're amazing." Another wrote: "Missing you on our screens but I'm glad to see you smiling again." A third said: "I love this message - nice work Jacques. The moment when you were comforting Andrew was also super sweet in the villa…" The remaining Love Island couples are each looking more and more secure in the run-up to the final.
