Amanda Holden
Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Jedward fans across the globe were worried sick when Edward was rushed to hospital with a life threatening illness. During an appearance on the Ray D’Arcy show on RTÉ Radio 1 the twins discussed Edward’s hospital stay as well as some supernatural goings on that got Jedward fans everywhere talking.

It’s never the right time to be ill but for these two, having the night of Eurovision interrupted added insult to injury. The brothers, in great spirits as ever, told Ray about the scarier moments.

Edward confessed that it was tough: ‘I was so vulnerable and exposed. Mentally and physically I wasn’t prepared for any of this.’ Describing the pain he experienced as being ‘like giving birth to an alien’ Edward detailed his treatment.
