The first two people to receive the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine had been given their first dose before 8am on Tuesday morning.
Grandmother Margaret Keenan, 90, received the jab at about 6.31am in Coventry, marking the start of an historic mass vaccination programme.
But Good Morning Britain's health editor and GP Dr Hilary warned that the vaccine administered to people across England will not necessarily stop people transmitting the virus.
