Popular Glasgow businessman Amrik Singh has died after a four-day battle with coronavirus. He was admitted to hospital on Sunday after he began displaying symptoms of the deadly Covid-19.The 84-year-old “battled heroically” against the virus, but he tragically passed away on Wednesday afternoon.He was a much-loved owner of a convenience store on Queen Margaret Drive in Glasgow’s West End for a quarter of a century.
Amrik also took up long-distance running in his 40s and went on to compete in 26 London Marathons - with the last of his entries coming in his late 70s.
