launched a petition to rename New York City’s Longacre Theatre in memory of Broadway star Nick Cordero, who passed away on Sunday due to complications from coronavirus.The Longacre, which was home to Cordero’s last broadway show “A Bronx Tale,” was built in 1912 and is currently named after Longacre Square — the original name for Times Square.
The rechristened theatre would be called “The Nick Cordero Theatre.”The petition had over 26,000 signatures on Tuesday.“‘A Bronx Tale, The Musical’ was the last Broadway show Nick Cordero starred in.
