Dave Chappelle's Attacker Has Been Charged With Four Misdemeanors
justjared.comDave Chappelle‘s attacker has been formally charged with four misdemeanors. Via The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office filed the charges on Thursday (May 5), just a few days after Isaiah Lee attacked the comedian on stage during his set at the Hollywood Bowl.
City Attorney Mike Feuer said his office has filed charges of battery, possession of a weapon with intent to assault, unauthorized access to the stage area during a performance and commission of an act that delays an event or interferes with a performer. “This alleged attack has got to have consequences,” he stated, in the video footage posted to Twitter.
Previously, a spokesperson said that they decided not to pursue felony charges. If you had missed it, new audio was released of the attack that happened on Tuesday night (May 3).
