Bridgerton season 1 recap: What happened during the first series on Netflix?

Most of the cast from the first series will be returning except for Simon played by Regé-Jean Page. The second series will shift the focus on Simon and Daphne’s relationship to Anthony Bridgerton pursuing Kate, similar to the books it's based on, which focus on the life and romance of a different Bridgerton child.
