Brian Dowling claims he has received "no apology" for Davina McCall amid their long-running feud. The 43-year-old TV star shot to fame by winning the second series of 'Big Brother' in 2002 before replacing Davina McCall as the presenter during the show's first series on Channel 5 in 2011.
But a quarrel ensued after Davina responded to fans in 2020 when asked online by some supporters whether or not Brian had been invited onto 'Big Brother: Best Shows Ever', which looked back at the Channel 4 years of the reality TV show.
Brian has now told The Sun newspaper: "I’ve not got an apology for stuff that was said. I know what happened to me during my time on that show – Davina McCall doesn’t because she wasn’t on the show. "She resigned and left the show on Channel 4, and she passed me her microphone. " The star was replaced as 'Big Brother' presenter by Emma Willis after two years when the programme moved to Channel 5.
And Brian says he felt "uncomfortable" with some of Davina's comments. He said: "I was uncomfortable with Davina’s truth because they weren’t Davina’s truths to tell.
