Rio Ferdinand has revealed that Manchester United teammate Patrice Evra came to him for advice on the morning of his Old Trafford reunion with Luis Suarez.
The Premier League match between United and Liverpool in February 2012 was the first time the two players had faced each other since Suarez had been handed an eight-match ban for racially abusing Evra.
That incident had happened after the pair clashed in the previous game between the two clubs, at Anfield in October 2011, with Liverpool continuing to support Suarez despite the Uruguayan being found guilty of the charge and banned by the Football Association.
