Bethesda Softworks apparently rejected multiple proposals from Obsidian Entertainment to create more games in the Fallout series, after the release of 2010’s Fallout: New Vegas.Fallout: New Vegas was the only title Obsidian Entertainment worked on in the Fallout franchise, but according to co-founder and former chief creative officer Chris Avellone, the studio pitched further games to Bethesda alongside ideas for Elder Scrolls spin-offs. All of them were turned down.Taking to social media last year to answer about the lack of a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas, Avellone revealed it was the question that kept him awake at night for “years”.

ZeniMax has revealed big plans happening in The Elder Scrolls: Online over the next twelve months, including a new expansion, a roadmap and a pack of downloadable dungeons.Revealed as part of Microsoft’s most recent Xbox Developer Direct, ZeniMax confirmed that the Gold Road expansion would be released in June for The Elder Scrolls: Online.Released June 3 for PC and coming to Xbox and PlytStation consoles on June 18, Gold Road will bring 30 hours of new main quest content to Elder Scrolls: Online, including a storyline with never-before-seen characters and new, but familiar zones for players to explore.The new chapter of The Elder Scrolls: Online will pick up where last year’s Necrom left off, and will return players to locations last seen in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.“In Gold Road players must investigate Ithelia, a Daedric Prince never seen before in the Elder Scrolls series and it’s up to players to uncover the schemes of her most devoted followers. Adventurers will encounter opportunistic woodeElves, and protect the people of West Weald from the chaos of the Forgotten Prince’s return,” said ZeniMax in a blog.

Fallout Shelter, The Elder Scrolls: Castles, has been announced.The news was announced on the official X (formerly Twitter) Bethesda account, with the post stating that the team is “excited to finally share The Elder Scrolls: Castles, our new mobile game from the team behind Fallout Shelter. The team has been hard at work on it for the last few years and we absolutely adore it.”The game allows you to control and expand your castle over various generations, making decisions that dictate exactly how your citizens perceive you and whether or not they attempt to overthrow your regime.
