Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

Ricky Gervais reveals love for his girlfriend inspired After Life

Ricky Gervais has revealed that he couldn’t function without his girlfriend of 38 years, Jane Fallon. The couple have been together for almost four decades and he admitted that she was the inspiration behind his hit Netflix series, After Life.

The second series is about to land on the streaming service and he has confessed that his love for Jane made him write the series.

Speaking to MailOnline, he said: ‘Imagine if you lost everything and you didn’t care about living any more. ‘You would be free to do or say anything you chose.

Then you ask: “What does losing everything mean?” My answer is losing your life partner. ‘I can’t imagine it. I can’t imagine doing anything without her,’ he admitted.
