The former footballer and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee had been keeping people updated on the health of their baby girl after it was revealed she had been diagnosed with leukaemia.

The couple recently shared that nothing more could be done for their baby who had been battling acute myeloid leukaemia for the majority of her young life.

Ashley shared the devastating news with his followers on social media by posting a photo of himself looking distraught as he held his baby girl, who passed away on Saturday, close to him.
