BARCELONA — After nearly a month of total confinement in Spain, and with no clear end in sight, Jarabe de Palo’s Pau Donés has risen like a phoenix from the ashes to announce his musical comeback.Donés, the leader of one of the most popular Spanish bands, both in Spain and abroad, posted a balcony video to announce his return in song. The singer and songwriter known for “La Flaca,” “Depende,” “Grita” and other Billboard Latin Songs-charting emotional rock fusion ballads, had publicly said he was retiring from his musical career in after a 20th anniversary tour, which followed his treatment for colon cancer.
