‘Star Wars:The Empire Strikes Back’ tops box office for the first time since release
reports Deadline.The Empire Strikes Back, which is considered to be the best Star Wars film, is the fifth film in the Star Wars Saga and second in the original trilogy; it stars Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams.The film was selected by the Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry in 2010.The reissuing of the film, as well as several other classical or audience favorite, is a measure that many movie theaters are using to generate income as the coronavirus pandemic rages across the globe.Other films now popular at pop-up drive-ins include “Jaws,” “Ghostbusters” and “Jurassic Park.”The Star Wars Saga globally has made $10.3 billion.
